Symptom:
ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> to connect database <> failed with error: <ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> to connect database <> failed with error: <[SAP AG] [LIBODBCHDB SO] [HDBODBC] General error; 10 authentication failed>.

Environment:
Data Services / HANA DB
Cause:
The error is a General error;10 authentication failed. In these scenario the cause was that the password was expired
Steps how to reproduce the error:
- Go to the following path: (usr/sap/SID/SBO/dataservices/bin)
- Run ./svrcfg command
- Under the Data Service Server Manager Utility Select Option 2

- And Select “y” to resync a REPO
- Enter the number of the Repo to Sync

Solution:
- Verify with your DB Administrator the status of the Password

- Update the new password of the user of the Repository
- Go to the following path: (usr/sap/SID/SBO/dataservices/bin)
- Run ./svrcfg command
- Under the Data Service Server Manager Utility Select Option 2
- In the Menu select the option “u” (Update REPO Password)

- And resync a REPO using the option “y” of the Menu
